Here you find few instructions to your creative mind to develop LOGO and SLOGAN for KSBDB.

• Usage: We use the Logo in our website, brochures, visiting cards, Social Media, Campaign materials, Backdrops, Video documentaries, Office Communication stationeries, mementos, stickers, Fax forms, etc., In effect; we use the Logo in print, electronic and visual media. The logo will be used in multicolor, single colour and as a monogram.

Here are some important tips for the artists and creative people to start thinking on the slogan content

• KSBDB is a Government of Karnataka initiative, to undertake a sustainable campaign on Biofuel usage.
• Biofuel means bio ethanol and bio diesel fuel with all the qualities of fossil fuel like Diesel and Petrol.
• KSBDB promotes only non-edible oil seed bearing trees like Honge, Neem, Simaruba etc., Please explore our website to know more on these. NO EDIBLE PLANT IS PROMOTED UNDER KSBDB. • Molasses from Sugarcane is used to make Ethanol, which could be used along with Petrol as fuel. But the above plants yield biodiesel, which is mixed with Diesel.
• Biodiesel is eco friendly and its usage has many advantages over fossil fuels.
• The short form of the Organisation is KSBDB.In Kannada it is ಕ ರಾ ಜೈ ಅ ಮ. Please position this short form along with the logo. We are not looking for ONLY TEXT LOGOs. Visual concept with creativity needs to be evolved.
• The slogan shall be simple, with minimal words and conveying a strong message on biofuel usage and advantages. The slogan could be either in Kannada or English.

• File Format: The Logo is to be submitted in SVG format.
• Monogram: The logo is to be convertible into a monogram without affecting the image quality.
• Colour: Usage of minimal number of colors is appreciated.
• Font: Usage of minimal number of fonts is appreciated.
• Detailing: Please avoid detailed images, as it would be distorted in some media / sizes. Usage of photographs in the LOGO is not allowed.

• The Logo / Slogan should not be similar to the ones that are in use by any other organisation / corporate. Any plagiarism will be strictly dealt with as per the law.
• Usage of copyrighted clipart, stock art, templates and other art materials is strictly prohibited.
• The developed logo will be the sole property of KSBDB. The successful designer/artist will not have any rights on the designed logo thereafter. He shall not re-use the same logo or similar logo / visualizations elsewhere which, if done, will harm the very idea of uniqueness and the designer will be held responsible for any consequences individually. The KSBDB will not be responsible for such use.

• The submission should be done in a print format. One A4 sized original Logo design (including the color codes and measurements etc., as in any logo submission) on a plain paper sheet should be submitted along with a covering letter.
• The submission should also contain a monogram of the Logo.
• The submission should be enclosed with the soft copy of the complete submission documents
• The CD / DVD should be properly marked with the applicant's name, email ID and mobile number.
• The applicants can also send their works by email to the Email ID: info@biofuelkarnataka.com But a hard copy in colour is mandatory irrespective of the email submissions.
• One person can send more than one logo created/designed by him/her.
• The staff and their relatives of KSBDB cannot participate in this competition.
• The submissions should also include a brief note (preferably 50-80 words) on the concept on which the LOGO is developed.

• The entries will be adjudicated by a panel of senior artists. Their decision is final. KSBDB reserves the right to reject entries, based on its specifications. The winner will be personally intimated. No other communication is solicited from applicants other than submissions.
• The winner will be awarded the prize during BIOFUEL MELA, which is being held from 10^th to 12^th August 2012 at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat, Bangalore.
